What Is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy works by encouraging you to fall into a deeply relaxed state, sometimes referred to as a hypnotic trance. When you are in this state, your subconscious is more open to suggestion. This is where I can help you change your perspective on the habits, behaviours and thought patterns you are seeking to change.

Changes might include enjoying good quality sleep; overcoming a fear of heights or flying, fear of needles or spiders working toward a healthier body; letting go of nervous habits such as smoking; or agoraphobia. Hypnotherapy can help with all these issues and many more.

Hypnotherapy is helpful in 3 main areas:

• Emotional difficulties such as anxiety, stress, depression and lack of confidence
• Habitual problems and behavioural issues including nervous habits and overeating or smoking
• Physical conditions such as irritable bowl syndrome, persistent pain, headaches and high blood pressure

Looking at the source of the emotion to find the root cause I can tailor the sessions to suit your unique requirements and so empower you to take control of your life.

Amateur sportspeople can come across a vast amount of pressure and can benefit from sports hypnosis just as much as professionals. Perhaps you have committed yourself to a tough physical challenge and are worried about completing it. Hypnotherapy aims to break negative thought patterns and responses to stress and instead provide you with a healthier reaction. This is done via the subconscious Some people will see results after one session while others may require a number of sessions. This will depend on your individual circumstances and the depth of work needed. I will also teach you self-hypnosis and relaxation techniques you can use after the sessions are over.

The aim of hypnotherapy for sleep disorders is to help you uncover the root cause and help you alter your perception of it. Often sleep disorders lead to anxiety in the sufferer, as they fear going to bed and not getting enough sleep. Hypnotherapy looks to reduce this anxiety and suggest different responses to your subconscious.

    Hypnotherapy works with your unconscious to find out where the root of your anxiety comes from. Typically, it comes from misinformation gathered from a past experience. Hypnotherapy can help to identify this and use suggestion techniques to correct any misinformation.

      Price

      £60 per hour (anytime over an hour is calculated pro rata at 15-minute intervals) and includes:

      • Pre session relaxation recording for you to get used to the process of hypnotherapy.
